The Alessandro Basset Hound is an all-tube bass amp with a 2 x
6550-based power amp, and a 2 x 6SL7 all-octal preamp. This is, without a
doubt, the first true high-end amplifier voiced specifically for the
bass guitar. A perfect match for the upright bass, as well!
It'll make your electric bass sound more like an upright, and your upright
sound more like an "unamplified" acoustic, retaining all of the natural sound
quality of your instrument!
As is the case with all Alessandro amplifiers, the hand-made cabinetry is
available in a stunning array of woods, including oak, flame maple (shown
here), cherry, mahogany and walnut, to name a few, with an optional, custom-made,
Reunion Blues heavy-duty padded gig bag.
Matching speaker cabinets in different
configurations are also available.
